With Easter only a few weeks away, my kids couldn’t wait any longer to dip their boiled eggs (and let’s be honest, mostly their fingers) in the multicolored water full of dye. The kits you can buy at the grocery stores get more elaborate each year. You can speckle the eggs, cover them with stickers, give them various textures, write messages on them with a white crayon; hey you can even stripe them! Dying eggs is a tradition I grew up with, and I enjoy passing it on to my children. I love seeing them get creative and sometimes silly as they dye eggs on the newspaper I’ve laid over every inch of the kitchen for those inevitable spills.
One year will always particularly stand out to me. It was the year we decided as a family to practice our spelling words on our Easter Eggs and count it as homework. The kids went for it! Once we were out of spelling words, we decided to write messages to our friends, neighbors, and each other. What a fun time for our family! It was nice to have a different way to express our love for others besides on a piece of paper or greeting card. This really got me thinking… what else could we use to deliver messages on?
That question changed my life. After a few Google searches, I found the most brilliant concept that I knew I had to be a part of. Technology has been developed which allows messages to be embossed on flowers. Incredible I thought! Little did I know that was just one of several things that can be embossed on flowers. Logos, icons, hand written messages, photographs, any of it embossed on a flower! I knew before I sat down with my husband to explain why we needed to invest in a flower printer, I needed some convincing evidence to prove we couldn’t live without it!
I began brainstorming different things I could use these embossed flowers for, thinking of the creative sayings I could emboss on them. I always struggle thinking of gifts for my kids school teachers, but not this year! An embossed flower with a picture of her and #1 Teacher sounded great. One of our good family friends has been going through a hard time and there isn’t much we can do to help her. However the simple gesture of embossing flowers that say “We’re Thinking of You” is something I can do. The company my husband works for is always looking for new giveaways and ways to show appreciation to their clients. Embossed flower s would be perfect for the company to use! We could even make some extra cash and emboss flowers as a home based business.
My husband latched onto the idea of embossed flowers without much persuasion at all. We have been so happy with our flower printer and emboss flowers almost daily for different people and events that come up. If you want a flower printer with quality embossing, I found that , Speaking Roses was the place to buy one.
